I made the patterns for my cape and my dress by draping fabric on the stand. This allows you to manipulate the fabric, finding the right shape and fit. Draping is a pattern cutting method, and the patterns are created by draping fabric on a mannequin to help interpret idea’s. The shape is then transferred on to paper to make a pattern.
